On Thursday, May 7th Statewide Abstract Title Insurance Corp. will host a free Continuing Legal Education webinar for attorneys from 11:00 am – Noon. The topic will be Surveys and Survey Coverage in Title Insurance and the webinar will provide 1 CLE Credit. The speaker, Richard J. King, Esq., is Vice President and Senior Underwriting Counsel for Stewart Title Insurance Company.
The session is free but registration must be done in advance by going to https://bit.ly/clemay7 no later than 5pm on Wednesday, May 6th. This program is transitional and appropriate for Newly Admitted & Experienced Attorneys for a maximum of one hour. Stewart Title Insurance Company has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York.
Richard King, Esq. has nearly twenty-five years of experience in the real estate field, having combined several years of private practice as a commercial and real estate litigator with over two decades of experience in the title industry with multiple underwriters. Since joining Stewart Title Insurance Company in 2003, Rich has worked in the claims and litigation department, having assumed the role of Chief Claims Counsel for STIC in 2008 and more recently as a Regional Claims Counsel for New York and Puerto Rico, prior to taking on his current role in underwriting. Rich received his B.A from The State University of New York at Albany and his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law At Pace University. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
This program has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of 1.0 Professional Practice credit hour. Regulations and Guidelines of the CLE Board provide that Credit shall be awarded only for attendance at an entire course or program, or for attendance at an entire session of a course or program. No credit shall be awarded for attending a portion of a course or a portion of a session.
